Below we get to talk to the winner of I Wanna Work For DAViE, and our newest mod Jrox! Find out about his experience during the competition, how he felt about everyone.
Congratulations, how's it feel to win?
It feels amazing! I really fought hard and I'm glad all my work came together and I could apply everything into one big bang!
Coming into the competition, was it anything like you were expecting?
For me, Blue's Reality Academy was difficult and I thought it would be like that, since the host decides to go home, but I Wanna Work For Davie was alot harder than I ever expected.
Who did you expect to be your biggest competition before the game began, and once it started did your opinion change?
Before the game I assumed it would be either Ghostie or Clay. Right after the first episode I knew it would be Connor and I in the finale.
During the first half of the competition, Ghostie really seemed to be struggling, as her friend, why do you think that was?
Well it seemed to me that she maybe was having trouble with you putting Connor above her, that combined with everyone asking for graphics, and according to her, personal problems, it seemed to all snowball into kind of a breakdown.
You, destineylove, and Clay seemed to have constant conflict going on, why was that? and did you think it would affect your chances at becoming a mod?
They truly annoy me to my core. I'm not trying to talk bad about them now, but they both just get under my skin and I don't even understand it myself. And it used to get to the point when I would just get down to their level and fight with them. So i stopped it because I knew it would affect my chances at being a mod. Once other members that weren't in the competition, started telling me to stop, it really opened my eyes to how it was affecting me.
So were you basically lying and trying to get their votes when you claimed your problems were "squashed" with DLove and Clay?
Not at all. I was still nice to Dlove and Clay after they didn't vote for me. I never even expected them to vote for me. Even tonight when Clay started with me on the phone over nothing, I saw he was trying to reel me in, but I just took a breath and dismissed it. I plan to keep up with that. Dlove was actually quite pleasant the past 2 days. He basically switched places with Clay on my annoyance scale because I always found Clay less annoying.
Did you feel you really should have been the MVP during the myspace challenge? And do you think not winning MVP might have affected your performance a little?
I did feel that I should have been MVP. I did most of the work. However looking back I'm glad you tricked me then, because that's when I started to decline and without me declining I would have never risen back up the way I did. That was really was the turning point for me in this competition.
How did it feel to have been in the bottom so many times? Did you ever feel defeated at any point?
In the beginning it didn't think anything of it. I thought "Oh ok I'm in the bottom one time." Then it happened a second time, and I felt a little weird. The third and fourth felt bad and that is when i felt down about it, but i wouldn't say defeated. But by the 5th time I started to realize that they were actually helping me rather than damaging me.
When you were in the bottom with Clay, I openly admitted that you should have been the one to go home. How differently do you think the competition would have played off had you left, and the final 3 been Clay Raheem and Connor?
I think Connor would have won the entire game.
How did it feel to not have any support from the community during the campaign challenge?
It kind of hurt a little. But then I realized that it was not that everyone wanted me to go home. They just thought Kronoz had the better campaign and Raheem seemed to have the popular vote. Members told me that they liked me, but didn't know if they were gunna vote for me in that instance.
Going into the finale, you were competing against someone who easily was the top dog until tonight. What was your strategy?
I wouldn't say i had a "Strategy." I just tried to put together every bit of knowledge, every experience I've had being in the bottom, every emotion i've felt during the competition, and basically just everything I had and put it into a final statement, that i just prayed would push me above.
If not you, would you have had Kronoz win?
Yeah. He really is a good guy and he is the only other competitor that I could see you making a moderator.
Now that you've won, do you think you'll be able to clear any doubts people had about you becoming a mod?
Yes I do. I can't wait to actively show people that I really can be a good moderator, regardless of what negative feelings they had towards me.
Any last words you'd like to share?
Well I would like to congratulate everyone who made it far, especially Kronoz. I really think you have great qualities inside of you, and I hope maybe in the future, when the time is right we can work together. And I feel that I owe Dlove, Lane, Ghostie, Clay and Raheem thanks because all the lessons I learned from you guys during the time I was in the bottom with you, really helped me tremendously.
