it finally came to theathers in my area this past weekend, so I'll be seeing this friday after Thanksgiving
my cousin got a chance to see it and said that it was REALLY good, so she is going back to see it for a second time
I fear that some scenes will be too much for me to handle, but that is one of the reasons that I want to see this film, it's much more realistic than other movies that are out now

It is obvious that its going to be tmth... I read the synopsis and I know there are going to be very sad and powerful moments in the film but I am still going to watch it... Its one of those really sad tragic movies that you MUST watch. I just hope it has an happy ending.

I started watching it last night (they have a REALLY bad quality online, I didn't finish it because the quality was so bad) but the scenes some of you might think are TMTH aren't , there's one scene you might have read about where monique is masterbating and asked precious to help her. It's not a big scene, you see Monique's hand under the cover, slightly moving and then you hear her say "Precious come make mommy feel good" the whole scene is only about 10 seconds, and not tmth. But I think I ruined the movie for myself by watching so many interviews on the movie, watching the movie made it seem like a movie to me =/

I LOVED THIS MOVIE! It really touched me and it did have a happy ending. This movie touched on so many topics and so many issues at once and it had some very sad parts but to me it still was not tmth. It even had some "haha" moments. This movie needs to win some Oscars.
Monique is just an evil witch in this movie and I have never seen Monique play a part like this and she got into character very well... So can see Monique winning some awards. Also Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) did an excellent job. The character Precious was not as weak as I thought., She been through so much! rape, incest, verbal abuse, physical abuse, illiteracy, teen pregnancy, and hiv aids.... But all in the end she over came it and she was strong and stood up for herself lol she can kick ass. The movie also had some great little visuals and effects and I loved when she was dreaming. All the characters were rich in personality as well... Mariah Carey,Paula Patton, and even Sherri Shepherd and the other supporting roles. Great Movie
