Learn about yourself? And if you're replying, what experiences have made you realize important aspects about yourself?

Well in my experience, it was through pain. Basically having been sick and abused all my life has always kept me in a primitive state of mind. I realized how big bullets I can take while at the same time realizing how strong I am compared to how weak and spineless others can be (usually the ones caught up in the superficial social part of life). As to not sounding too cliche, it makes me see the beauty in the world around me and appreciate the little things that come and go.

Can you expound on "what you've learned"? Is it like knowledge or experience? Apparently I dont learn well cause I am icing in my moms basement and fighting.
the things I have learned have to do with my military career. It made me grow up fast and instilled in me some discipline. I found my inner strength and confidence. Before enlisting I could barely make eye contact now I have no problem with it. I can stand imfront a really old pissed off Alzheimer's patient keeping my composure. The time I spent in trainig showed me how strong I am physically and mentally.
Try lugging a pack on your back that weighs 65lbs while patrolling with an m4rifle in 100 + degree weather. I've learned to stand toe to toe with strict TI's. The strength to carry on and persevere

I think that every human being is so unique, so different, with so many layers, that even little things can show you things about yourself. I've learned things about myself from singing a song out loud, that I truly felt in my soul. From watching a movie that treats a controversial topic. From talking to my friends, debating important matters with them. From listening to my family. Through the silence of the night. Through pain, to learn how string you truly are. Through happiness to admire how good life can be. Through living every second of your life to the fullest. From a deep look into a stranger eyes, to find how others look at you, to find your image to the world. As you may see, there are many ways to get to know yourself, you just need to explore all the experiences life has to offer, and you'll find out a lot about yourself while living each experience.
