I believe it is too easy to pass off the responsibility on the young girls. A deeper issue to this problem remains our patriarchal culture, which puts an onus of real fear on women of being alone- hence some taking desperate measures such as hoping to trap their boyfriends as you say. It's acceptable, often even praised, for a man to sleep around, get married and then discard wife especially for someone younger and more attractive. A woman alone, or unmarried, in our society is a terrifying thing. |

Also as far as this weeks 16 and Pregnant with Chelsea. Lol I love how they try to make a city of less than 10,000 people look huge and like her baby is just across town not 45 mins away. They had to choose the sluttiest girl with one of the most expensive houses in the town.
Dwemmy I couldn't disagree more. I am a very happy very single 25 y/o who does not want anything from anybody. Don't diss and try to say if I didn't want a man that something is wrong with me or I am lesbian. If I was lez I STILL wouldn't want anyone because when a girl like me is in relationship it can break one down.
Don't class all single women as lonly or pathetic.

That's not what he said at all. He said that's how society sees it ( he also said this was a problem if you go back and RE-READ) and he's right IMO. |

All I can say is the fathers this season make Ryan look like father of the year. Another asshole in Adam I see. At least Chelsea didnt seem to get pregnant in order to trap that loser.
The girl next week looks like a pig. Looks like I will be in white trash heaven for this one.

Small town Florida white trash, gotta love it! This episode was amazing. It bought the LOL's, where to begin? Tyler not going to school in four years and at the beginning of the episode he was 15! Crazy! Nicole and her friends doing the old wives tales to induce labor like going over speed bumps. I felt dumber just watching this episode. I loved the part where they were eating Wendy's and there were a pair of shoes on the table with the food. Has anyone else talked about how Brooklyn stays up until 8 am? Then they show Tyler and Nicole in bed obviously in the middle of the day while Brooklyn is laying on the couch dead asleep while Tyler's grandma tries to wake all of them up. Tyler's gradmna and Nicole's mother mean well but they are such enabelers. No one has put their foots down with both of these kids which is why Nicole had a baby and Tyler doesnt go to school, doesn't have a job, smokes, sleeps all day, and doesnt look like he bathe's regularly. The crystal meth looking mother of Tyler seems to be the only one who has a clue here, but even she cant get it through these kid's heads, as soon as she tells them anything they storm off and Tyler calls her a bitch. Poor Brooklyn staying up till 8am is the first trait she will inherit from these parents. Oh and could we have Butch #2 on our hands? Tyler's stepdad with his "Pure White Trash" tshirt was just epic, loved this show Tyler and Nicole for Teen Mom 2 please.  |
