^^^Exactly. Because they are a known and understood variable that gives comfort to the freaked out execs. Even though every reality star goes through a battery of psychological tests as well as medical tests, the producers biggest fear is that one of the contestants/reality personalities/fame whores will just go off their rocker and screw up possibly the many weeks of filming or even the entire shot (e.g. ILM3, which I'm sure cost 51 Minds millions $$).
