No kidding...the first thing I thought when I saw him was: "Well, maybe he has a wonderful personality or at least lots of money or something to make up for all his...shortcomings.
But I didn't notice anything like that...oh, wait! Maybe he's got a hearing problem. She might make an ideal mate for a deaf guy.
