Episode 6: "Banana Etiquette"
Reward/Individual Immunity Challenge: The tribes would compete separately for individual immunity. The castaways would be attached to a rope, thread through obstacles, which they would have to climb under, over, or around. The first Hero and the first Villain to win would move on to the final round. The final round's challenge would be the same, but with a single obstacle three levels high. The first castaway to complete the obstacle would win reward for their tribe. Challenge from Survivor: Tocantins.
Reward: Hot dogs and soft drinks to be enjoyed at the opposing tribe's Tribal Council.
Jeff surprised the tribes by announcing at the challenge on day 15 that they would be competing for Individual Immunity within the tribes and that both tribes would be voting out one member each that night. After explaining the challenge, Jeff announced that the winners from each tribe would then square off against each other for reward. Candice won her round for the Heroes and Rob won his round for the Villains. Rob won the face off against Candice to win the reward for his tribe. At the Villain's camp, Rob believed Russell had the hidden immunity idol, despite Russell's claims to not have it. Rob organized his alliance members to split their votes between Russell (Rob, Sandra, and Tyson) and Parvati (Coach, Courtney, and Jerri), such that whether or not Russell had the idol or, in the event they did have it, gave it to Parvati, they would force a 2 or 3-way tiebreaker which they would subsequently win in a 5-2 vote to remove either Russell or Parvati. Russell, knowing that Rob may be planning to split the vote, approached Tyson, convincing Tyson that voting against Rob's alliance was futile and that he was voting for Parvati, hoping to trick Tyson into switching his vote; Tyson opted to switch his vote to Parvati as well, believing that gaining the majority in numbers for Parvati would keep Rob's plan viable. At their Tribal Council, Russell presented the hidden immunity idol, and, after a short speech about trust directed at Coach, gave the idol to Parvati who played it. Parvati's four votes were nullified, thus eliminating Tyson by a vote of 3-2-0. Over at the Heroes camp, Colby announced to the tribe that he knew he was going home after Tribal Council, there was no need for scrambling amongst the tribe, and there were no hard feelings from him. Amanda, Candice, J.T., and Rupert talked about voting out James instead of Colby to keep the tribe stronger. Amanda warned James that he needed to show the tribe that his injured knee was not a hindrance to the tribe. In an attempt to prove that he was okay, James raced J.T. along the beach, which J.T. easily won. Amanda, Candice, J.T., and Rupert decided to vote for James and he was sent home 5–1.
