This episode covers days 2,3 and 4 at the Pasadena Recovery Center.
[/u]All the patients who had detox/withdrawal coming are now deep into it and miserable. Particularly Mike Starr, who asks for another valium- saying he's out of his mind with dope sickness.
They enter into the conference room to do a "process group" led by Bob Forrest. He asks the group to describe their worst bottom. They go around the room.
McKenzie talks about her LAX arrest again (how many times are we going to hear how her father shot her up with coke at 17? I believe she needs psychiatric treatment, not a drug rehab. But of course there's no cameras there, and no money to be made, and no books to sell. imo she's there for all the wrong reasons. She's not even sick!)
Mindy gets pretty intense. Her bottom was the continued beatings by her boyfriend, many times to the point of death. Although the public knows about her trips to the hospitals, she says at least there she felt safe. There were many more times that we don't know about where she spent days hiding in a closet and many life-threatening fights which were never even called into 911. She said she loved him and hoped things would work out, even when he was beating her to within an inch of her life.
Denis is next and begins with the usual crap. "I don't have bottoms- I'm fine. Bob calls him out on the 70 calls and police visits to his Newport Beach home- that's not a problem. Then finally the rest of the group have had it and tell him he's not participating and doesn't want to contribute and he thinks he's above everything and everyone, etc. This seems to quiet Dennis down a lot- maybe visions of jail if doesn't stop the nonsense?

Mike Loses His Lunch and His Mind, Part I
Mike complains to Shelly and DrD that he feels like death and they don't care- he can't take much more of this physical and psychic pain. We cut to the night camera on Mike as he throws up in graphic detail all night long. In the morning Shelly is walking down the hallway and starts gagging at the smell. Joey says his sinuses are so blocked up from the coke that he fortunately can't smell it as they're roomates. Shelly then begins to overact imo by getting loud and a bit obnoxious. I suppose she can be forgiven as she had to clean it up. Ew! Cut to Mike saying "yeah I threw up all night right next to my bed- and I'm not cleaning it up." 1 asshole point to Mike.

Mike Loses His Lunch and His Mind, Part II
We're in the middle of Day 3 and DrD expresses that he hopes the worst of Mike's withdrawal is behind him- uh, doubtful.
After lunch Mike goes back to his bed and throws up what seems like gallons of corn on the cob. It looks like you could drown in the room in his corn puke. Shelly really freaks out this time- it seems like she's trying to get everyone's attention. Look at me! I've got to clean up puke! Weird.
DrD does a 1-on-1 with Lisa D because he feels that her past sexual trauma and abuse is preventing her from fully engaging in the recovery process. He ask her to write out a timeline from the earliest age to the present detailing this abuse and other trauma.
One story she shared was of her BLEEP's boyfriend, who she calls the Devil. This creep would walk around in his underwear with a half erection and point it at Lisa and her sister, who were 8 and 9 at the time. She told her BLEEP about it and all she did was yell across the room to the slob to cut it out. Thereafter because he had been humiliated he punished them by constantly sexually abusing both. She soon found a way to soothe herself, by rocking back and forth which she still does constantly to this day. She does it so much and sometimes so vigorously that her friends become concerned.
DrD off-camera says that her past trauma is profound and coupled with her current drug use she needs to start breaking down walls in order to get this process.
Back on camera DrD tells Lisa flat out "you are an addict". She looks on stunned.

Dennis Mans Up! 
At Day 4's beginning Shelly gathers everyone outside for group. She wants to know who already recognizes and admits that they're an addict. Mike, McKenzie, Joey and Heidi all say yes- then she asks Dennis and surprise! he says no and as soon as he gets out of the PRC he's going drinking "you can't keep it away from me."
Dennis is brought in to see DrD and the PRC Admin lady because he has to do 45 days of community service, 100 hours of which can be done at the PRC. DR says that's wrong- DrD says let's call your lawyer. Suddenly DR says "OK let's do it." The PRC lady brings Dennis into the kitchen where he washes pots and pans and does general cleaning for quite a while. The PRC lady said he did a good job/ Way to go Dennis! You can do things like the rest of us!

Mike's Psychotic Break with Reality?
The gang is off to a 12 step meeting...except Mike who is in bed sick with withrawal. He is in a bad mood- tells Shelly he won't go and "turn off the fucking lights!" I guess she doesn't which sends him through the roof- he smashes the lamp by his bed like a good rock star. Shelly comes back in and he starts calling her "a fucking cunt, whore and I'm never speaking to you again." Uh Oh.
Shelly and DrD have a meeting and Shelly points out that destruction of PRC property is immediate termination. But of more concern right now is his weird behavior- he's walking really fast through the hallways with headphones blasting. To DrD it looks as if he's had a psychotic break, and he prepares to have him transferred to a psychiatric hospital with a 48 hour lockdown in a holding cell beforehand!

DrD and the PRC Admin lady try "one last time" to talk to him. Finally Mike says that Shelly and all the cameras are distracting and making his withdrawal overwhelming. They feel he's OK now and can stay.
My Opinion on this: Dr Drew almost totally fucked up with this incident. Mike was not psychotic at all; he was super pissed off and didn't want to talk to anybody. Yes his behavior was a little strange, but once he opened up he was fine. If they had brought in the cops as they had planned that would've been disastrous and a real screw-up by DrD.
Tom Sizemore was supposed to check in today (why is he allowed to check in at Day 4? Stupid), so Bob goes out to pick him up. Eventually Tom gets in the car only to jump out at the nearest Pink Dot convenience store while the car was moving! Crazy speed freak. Bob goes looking for him but Tom is a wily drug fiend and gets away! Ha Ha.
Oops!
(I left this out...) We see the happy gang going to bed and focus on McKenzie and Mindy having some quality time. Mindy is telling MP a funny story and says (verbatim), "And you know what DrD said?" MP:"What?" Mindy: "Aaaaahhhh.....eeeeeeeeewwwww.....oooooorp (thwump)" MP: "Bwah ha ha ha ha ha...she's dead! Uh, Mindy? Mindy? OMG she's having a seizure! Nurse! Nurse! She's having a seizure right now."
