A rather dreary episode. We are stuck in Day 15 almost entirely, similar to Day 8. But unlike Day 8, the drama is petty, ugly and pathological. Also, there wasn't much here to make wise-cracks about. Look at YOUR face, Mike!
Jennifer kicks off morning meditation by blasting everyone about their chores and the general state of the house, leaving the gang pissed off and grumbling.
While that was certainly unprofessional of her, as proof of her statement we see bloated Mike leaving a cereal bowl in the sink, and Tom spilling cereal all over the floor and then going back upstairs as if nothing happened.Meanwhile Heidi and Mike talk trash about Jennifer at the same time that Jennifer is cleaning up Tom's spillage, with no questions asked. She goes up to bed waving the white flag.
I've read some comments about JG on the net, and most are very much against her. Here's a great comment that doesn't take sides:
"Jenn's own pathology recreates abusive environment in an attempt to heal the original trauma. She is right, no normal person would put up with this situation. The addicts are doing what they do best..manipulating and taking the path of least resistance. She is feeding off of them being so abusive towards her and it's feeding her martyrdom. I give her kudos for trying but she needs backup and more training so she doesn't let it effect her sobriety."
In other words, they're all fucked-up addicts. You want to paint some blame, look at Dr Drew and his unconscionable producers. Let's make money and put peoples' lives at risk.

Dennis is off to court so his lawyer can give a progress report on his community service because of a domestic violence charge. He put that woman on welfare and beat her? What a shit.
Evidently he's done not much more than handing out toys- pfft. The judge gives him an additional 25 days of CS, which had better be Cal-Trans and beach clean-up or he's off to jail.
In a 1on1 with Dr Drew, Dennis won't watch the tapes of him drinking, claiming "he knows exactly what he did."
Drew plays it anyway (stuff we've seen) and Dennis then gives a running commentary of his stupidity...and then goes off into another one of his inexplicable rants about who the fuck knows what. Drew is right, this guy does have brain damage.
But then Dr D in his annoying way, says cloyingly "I get you, you're coming into focus. Good stuff." What the hell?!

Exasperated Jennifer gets in Mike's face about cleaning his room. He refuses saying he feels dope-sick, tired and will do it later. Jennifer makes the mistake by not backing down nor letting up, overstepping her own authority. Still, what happens next is pretty disturbing.
"Look at your face!" he spits with pure venom, then hops on his bike, which looks like a 15 year-old's suped-up banana bike, and repeatedly runs into her shins, maniacally laughing and saying "I'm never leaving!." Addiction professional's claim that the age at which drug abuse began is when the maturation was arrested. What a perfect example Mike is.
Jennifer keeps telling him to leave because he's been kicked out. Mike screws on his own accord, leaving Jennifer talking to herself as everyone else looks on freaked-out.

Big Will quickly finds Mike, who was cooling his heels with a cup of coffee. Mike again complains of his symptoms (OK now this is getting tiring) and that Jennifer as an authority figure pushes his buttons.
Will's saying "my ego is not my amigo" doesn't appear to register with Mike, whose coping skills and overall maturity are seriously stunted.
At process group with Dr Drew, the patients discuss Jennifer, mostly throwing her under the bus (but with some justification).
But Jenny and Tom come to her defense, saying that no one should have to put up with"this shit", and Tom feeling that things haven't been that bad and she's doing a good job. Where the fuck has Tom been?
Dr Drew says that you don't have to like her, but she's has many things that you can learn from (4 years sobriety).
Heidi in her blind wisdom says "there's nothing to be learnt from her." That's because you're a stupid cunt, Heidi.

In a late-afternoon 1on1 with Drew, Jennifer is shown footage of her unprofessionalism- all of it with Mike.
Drew starts commenting as he watches, saying "he's pacing and agitated, that's when you get away" and, "abusive language at a patient is grounds for dismissal."
Well, she's not a professional- just a recovering addict with a lot more clean-time than these zoo animals.
Then Drew, annoying again, expresses amazement that Mike kept it together and didn't jump off the porch or throw off Jennifer. "He really kept it together."
Oh for fuck's sake- if this guy is so unbalanced then it is totally irresponsible of Drew putting anyone in an authoritative position who's not a professional! He really shouldn't be there at all, as he's a risk for the others as well. But you see, there's this TV contract, and Mike's manager and agent, and money money money...
Drew suggests that Loesha be there 24/7 as well, which Jennifer reluctantly agrees to.

Jennifer arrives back at the sober manse with everyone staring at her saying nothing. That must feel real comfortable.
Loesha arrives giving Jennifer a big hug, saying that they will be working together (smart). Having seen her in action on Sex Rehab and Celebrity Rehab 3, these patients need this kind of professional. This ain't Sober House 1.
