...seems really over the top, sometimes in a good way, but mostly unnecessary.
In ep.1 when he said "good night everybody" he sounded like a drill-sargeant. And then in ep. 2 during the weekly wrap-up meeting he drops tons of f bombs and threatens these people with everything except violence.
As if you don't do what he says the whole world is coming to an end. For a guy who is single, hangs with mommy, is licensed in nothing, has a degree in ? ...he was much more playful yrt serious and was well respected in seasons 1 +2.

Steve said in an interview that he has become more at ease with the show now and has adopted his no holes barred way of helping couples. He may not have a degree but it's not like a degree is worth much anymore (like when my husband said he was going to college to get a degree in liberal arts I told him "Awww hun, you can work for Denny's without a degree now."). Experience is the money maker now a-days. Take it from me, I have been in the workforce for close to 20 years now and just got my degree in 08. I found out that I make more at the job I have now and would cut my pay in half if I went after a job my degree is in. Steve has experience with matchmaking and making couples fit. Now on the f-bomb thing, my supervisor at work drops them all the time, I don't think f^$( is really that much of a shock on TV anymore, it's almost an everyday word now. If he said the n-word or the c-word then I would be shocked. He also might be tired of people coming to him for help who obviously don't want/won't use the help that he offers. Taylor, for example, never listened to him and probably frustrated him enough to give him an ulcer.

@topic Steve actions last season seemed a bit unnecessary to to me at times...so I'm not all too suprised how he has been acting thus far

I find it utterly amusing hearing some of the things that comes out of Steve's mouth. I'm curious if any of the cast ever busted out in laughter while being talked to by him.

^^^LOL I know. If I was one of the chumps on his show when he said "If you haven't figured it out, I'm not God!" I swear I would've laughed in his face "Because mommy is!" @foxy I know I wouldn't have been able to go as far I did in construction executive management without my degree in Latin and Greek- not because such an arcane degree is a requirement, but they were invaluable in contract documents, negotiating, letter writing, etc. Employers are looking for high-end liberal arts degrees for future entry level employees because they can think on their feet, unlike economics, some engineering (too specific), sociology, art history or their ilk. For a B.A. a tough liberal arts degree to the right agressive person will go very far. BTW, if you want to see what a bunch of sleazoids Steve and Joanne are with present-day clients (specifically female) in Philadelphia, google "Steve and Joanne Ward ripping off unsuspecting clients." Lastly, I would never tolerate a boss who freely dropped f bombs- customers, clients and vendors find it a poor reflection of the office environment. "Shock value" is irrelevant. Plus no employee has to put up with it.
Yes I think Steve and Joanne Ward are frauds of the highest magnitude, especially when I read of single women who've been conned for $6000.

I have my degree in Public Admin, got that two years ago. After I got it I shopped around and found out that my beginning salary would be about 12.00 an hour. I have been in my current position for 8 years now (and in the customer service field for 16 years as a whole), I do tech support for cellular phones. I started there at 13.50 an hour. I am now going back to university to get my BA in Psychology and Human Services then my Masters in Psychology with a specialization in PTSD and Rehabilitation with the illusion of a degree = a better paying job behind me and just doing what I feel I need to do. I assume you are referring to this site: www.ripoffreport.com/Dating-services/JoAnn-Ward-It-s-Abou/joann-ward-and-steven-ward-i-7638w.htm (this is the only link that came up in a google search with the words Steve and Joann Ward Philadelphia). If not please link the site and I'll read what the person has to say and make my own opinions on it. The person in the above link even admitted in it that she didn't do her own due diligence and research the Ward's and others in this business. This was also 3 years ago. If it's such a big deal there would be more out there (on the net) besides just four posts (dated from 2007 to 2009) on Ripoff Reports. Finally if the situation happened as she stated it then take them to court. In the end I cannot think of one person in the customer service field that can say that they haven't gotten a complaint. I also cannot think of one company with a spotless record when it comes to customer complaints.

Yes I agree there will always be complainers in customer service oriented businesses. I saw that RoR one, but no, I saw another site that had many detailed complaints, which I will find and provide the link. The person who runs RoR has an axe to grind (I hear), and is also an ex-con (fwiw).
