Chef Ramsay asks the contestants to meet him at one of L.A.'s oldest restaurants, Philippe. It's been around for over 100 years and is known for their outstanding French Dip sandwich. They all sit down together to try out the sandwich, prompting Chef Ramsay to explain their challenge. They'll have to create a gourmet sandwich that's just as good as the one they just ate. That's a tall order!
When it's time to present their dishes, Chef Ramsay that decides that, in order to even out the teams, the red team must choose the worst dish and keep them out of the running. Everyone gangs up on Siobhan and sidelines her. Hopefully, for them, it was the right decision. In the first two rounds, everyone earns a point for their teams, with no winner being named.
When Fran and Jay face off, they were just about even. except for the fact that Fran's bread was soggy. She justified it by saying that that's the way that Italians like it. Uhhh, Fran, do me a favor and don't speak for us! Nilka takes the point in her round against Autumn. Since there's a tie, Siobhan is asked to present her dish. Chef Ramsay tells her that he likes her dish over Fran's, then gives the win to the blue team.
The red team will have to prep for tomorrow night's dinner service, which will include making peanut butter and jelly from scratch. Chef Ramsay is taking a classic childhood sandwich and classing it up. That sounds great, except the red team will have to use 50,000 peanuts in order to make the peanut butter from scratch. Awful. The blue team is heading to California wine country via private jet. I think I'd want a blue coat right about now.
Siobhan and Ben have it out upstairs over how they're going to win the next dinner service. She thinks that he's too arrogant and he thinks that she doesn't know how to cook. I think they both need to shut up.
Wine country was a bit too much of a party for the blue team, and they're pretty hungover going into dinner service. Though they struggle, the red team has problems of their own. Siobhan tries to serve scallops that are burned. When she tells Chef Ramsay they looked golden brown to her, he responds by throwing her out of the kitchen and forcing her to eat her mistake.
One diner becomes aggravated when he's served rare meat and heads to the kitchen to log his complaint. Chef Ramsay doesn't appreciate his tone and tells him to... well, I can't repeat what he said but he was asked to leave. Two seconds later, there's raw chicken waiting to go out to another diner but Ramsay catches it and screams at everyone for it. Are they trying to give people food poisoning? Raw duck is the last straw and the entire blue team is thrown out. Undercooked risotto by Fran causes the entire red team to also be thrown out.
I take it neither team won...
Autumn, Ed, Siobhan, and Fran are nominated for elimination. Though Autumn and Ed had weak services, they're not going anywhere. Siobhan is eliminated from Hell's Kitchen and sent packing.
YAY SIOBHAN WENT HOME! watch here.
