The "non-technical" way of sayng it is basically Flash is probably not going to die, but it is less and less used by any professional website developers, especially for anything commercial or of value. Flash seems to be reserved for gaming sites and games. It was a great idea to start with, but its implementation/integration is wrong. A fad. It is even not supported on many mobile units, nor on several MAC systems. Many doors are closing to Flash. Personally, any site that uses any Flash is written off as far as I am concerned.

And if RS were to ever have its little Ads in Flash, I'm going to leave. I'm fed up with Flash, which is why I use the Flash-Block Add-On for Mozilla Firefox.

Some of the most glitchiest websites are ran on Flash, just know that.

flash definitely is a piece o' shit. the websites that use flash are like you said either gaming sites, or small businesses who dont know shit bout the intranetz and think flash websites is cool or something...flash is garbage

The Android vs. Apple fume will prove which flash-based system will remain superior. Apple claims they never wanted Flash on their iPhone because it's too glitchy, so they're waiting for HTML 5. HTML5 will render Adobe obsolete in the near future. Flash has gotta go, it may seem to work fine wuth the average user, but it's the worst thing ever to hit the internet. More than 60% of PC/Mac crashes is due to Flash. Not good.
